Tools
Two free calculators and a short proposal form. The first two turn a handful of inputs into an indicative build range or a yearly return, with nothing to sign up for; the form brings back a written recommendation from the team. All three are there to decide whether a conversation is worth having, not to replace scoping.
- No account, no download
- Indicative ranges, never a quote
- Every stage priced in writing before it starts

Cost, return or a proposal. Each takes a few minutes.
AI project cost calculator
Set the project type, integrations, data complexity, scale, security tier and support needs. Back comes an indicative implementation range in AUD, with monthly ranges for model and API usage and for infrastructure.
Estimate a build CalculatorROI calculator
Four inputs: how many people do repetitive admin, the weekly hours each loses to it, what an hour costs, and the share AI could realistically take on. Out comes what that reclaimed time could be worth each year.
Estimate your return FormRequest a proposal
Four steps: about you, your business, what you are trying to do, and scope and constraints. About three minutes. The reply is written by the team, not generated on the page: a tailored recommendation and an indicative investment.
Request a proposalRead them as ranges, not quotes
The tools know nothing about your codebase, your data or your people, so they return ranges and keep them wide on purpose. Treat a result as a first filter: which ideas deserve an hour of a senior person's time, and which can wait.
A price is a different artefact. Every ComplxAI stage is priced in writing before it begins, and that figure follows the two free conversations, once we have seen the process, the systems it touches and the data behind it. The full stage model is in how we work.
Worth bringing to an intro call if
- The range fits a budget you could actually get approved
- You have two or three ideas and want them ranked
- A vendor quote has landed and you want a second reference point
- The return rests on assumptions you want tested
Not a good basis for
- Committing budget without Discovery
- Comparing two suppliers on a single figure
An estimate and a price are different things
No paid stage starts on a tool result. What separates the number on the page from the one you can plan around.
| Compare | Tool estimate | Written price |
|---|---|---|
| Produced by | A formula in the page, from the inputs you set | The engineers who would do the work, after the intro call and pre-discovery |
| Knows about | Project type, integrations, scale and the hours you enter | Your process, the systems it touches and the data behind it |
| Takes | A few minutes | Two free conversations, then Discovery in 2–4 weeks from a fixed fee |
| Comes as | A range, deliberately wide | A fixed figure per stage, in writing, before that stage begins |
| Commits you to | Nothing | One stage at a time. Exit at any boundary; the IP is yours from day one of any paid stage |
